You may also be interested in the GEANT Testbeds Service. services.geant.net/gts While it says "testbeds" - that is probably a misnomer... it provides production virtual environments with circuits, compute nodes, switching, etc. across the wide area GEANT footprint. (Some people just use these virtual networks as "testbeds".)
And GTS uses NSI underneath for its circuit provisioning.

They both work (together...) on a project called BEACON (http://www.beacon-project.eu/) and I thought some of what they were talking about was similar to your work on network agents.
I would like to organise a call with you (NSI) and them (BEACON), some time in the second half of April.
For example, they might be persuaded to build on your work or maybe contribute to NSI.
