Hello All, Now that NSI v2.0 is nearly out the door we should be looking ahead to the next phase of NSI. The NSI working group will meet in Singapore in the week beginning 30th September to discuss the next steps for NSI - details of the meeting will be announced on this mailing list. If you have any ideas for NSI enhancements please prepare a presentation for that meeting. All, Please find attached the service decoupling proposal discussed a couple weeks ago via e-mail. The document describes the current XSD structure and associated issues, as well as the proposed minor changes to fix the problem. NSI WSDL - The Maastricht Updates

Peoples, I believe I have completed all the WSDL changes agreed to in Maastricht. Please download the WSDL and verify this new version. I have also added a xsd-docs.zip file to the repository that contains a set of HTML based documentation. In addition, I have restructured the svn repository by service and submitted a draft version of the topology XSD for Jereon. John

NSI CS v2.0 submission to OGF Editors

Hi All, Today I submitted the NSI CS v2.0 document to the OGF editors. The editors will read the document and at the next meeting on July 8 they will review the document and let us know if it is ready to be submitted for public comment. I expect we will get some feedback from the editors which may require some additional editing. We still have an opportunity to do some fine tuning of the document over the next few weeks, but I hope to keep any changes to a minimum. Notifications

HiHi, The last couple of days we implemented the two new notification query operations in our UPA, BandwidthOnDemand. Doing this we had a few questions: * Sending a DataPlaneStateChange to the requester requires a notificationId. (A DataPlaneStateChangeRequestType extends a NotificationBaseType which has a notificationId.) Which suggests it is a notification that can be queried. When doing a notificationQuery the response (queryNotificationConfirmed) only contains errorEvent, reserveTimeout and messageDeliveryTimeout notifications. We expected it to contain DataPlaneStateChanges as well, because it is a notification (it extends NotificationBaseType). I understand that the data plan state can be queried with a querySummary but the history of provision/release can not. I would suggest to let queryNotification also return the data plane state change notifications. * In the pdf attached to issue 92 solution 2b says that the notificationId should be unique per NSA. Currently we implemented the connectionId to be unique per connection. I think this makes it easier to follow the notifications because there should be almost no gaps between the notification ids. Hello All, An updated version of the NSI CS v2.0 draft is now available with the following changes: - Sections 1 through 5 have been updated to reflect the edits agreed in Maastricht - Section 7 now contains the NSI CS schema with latest updates by John to reflect discussion at Maastricht.
