Few questions for the demo

Hi all, I've got few questions, which applies to all of the demo participants, so I do that via email: 1) what is the most suitable mailing list for the demo issues (I did cross posting here :( ) 2) What is the relation between switchmatrix, node, and ports? Is that node has ports, and then switch is additional object that defines which ports can be switched (node-port-swtichmatrix) or node requires switchmatrix to be attached to ports (node-switchmatrix-port)? 3) as far as I understand, a GOLE is an administrative object defining organisation, while Node are collapsed network entities (switches, routers, whatever) into abstract node. Is that correct? 4) there is no global registry of edge/peering ports (we will know them as topologies will appear from partners), and their URI's. Having a single registry in one place IMHO would be useful. State transition table

Hi all, Here is a state transition table of the NSA state machine, as per discussion at the SLC OGF meeting. - This table defines more detailed behavior of the SM (compared with the diagram). - This table shows unexpected (presumably erroneous) cases in purple color, and defines behavior on such cases. GEANT topology for demo

Hi all, In the attachment there is a first draft of the GENAT topology. There will be small changes to that, i.e. to the URIs. Some of the ports are under implementation and the final numbering is missing (x/y instead). For some external ports I guess we need to agree on URIs: - we have connection to Internet2 - will that be also shown on Internet2 topology? If so, what would be the URI at Internet2 site? - What would be an URI at port going to GN from Netherlight for this demo? NetherLight N3 topology for GLIF Rio demo

Hi, Attached is the NetherLight A-GOLE topology in N3 format. Hadn't time to use a validator but I think it is more or less correct :) I just used vi to create the N3 description. The SNE editor is nice, but it is just a temporary solution. In the (near) future we will have our NRM generate this information automatically. The only thing missing in the description are the correct connectedTo URI's to the other domains (except for the UvA one's). But this in only a bootstrap problem. Once everybody has a correct topology description of his own domain, for new ports this kind of information is exchanged with other information like path positions, VLAN information, time slots, etc., during the setup of a new interconnection between domains. TransactionId

Peoples, This weekend we had a lively discussion on transactionId. In the end it was agreed that we would continue to support this identifier, however it will be renamed. I have currently defined it as a uuid for uniqueness as is done in many implementations using a transactionId. Now Inder asked if we could make it a sequence I'd to help with processing on the RA side. Comments? Sent from my iPhone
