I'd say 1:*, since one (virtual) node is -I think- typically implemented by a physical node.
The converse, a set of nodes behaving like a virtual node is handled by the topology concept (formerly known as Graph, formerly know as Network)
I know that Xen and VirtualPC also support a virtual machine that is actually implemented on multiple physical machines. Although Topology could handle that concept, I think that that is not entirely appropriate in this case. Jeroen.
