Hello Diego, Your mail was forwarded to the NML mailing list (with a little bit of delay).
- Network Markup Language Base Schema version 1
This is the authoritative document.
Status of This Document Grid Final Draft (GFD), Proposed Recommendation (R-P).
This is the latests status; it is stable, and it is used in multiple implementations. However, no experience document was written yet, hence the status is R-P, not full recommendation. So far, the most active deployment is in implemantions of NSI, a related standard for multi-domain network service, in particular the connection service, across multiple network domains, which is used in academic computer networks. I'm aware of some other activities, but they rarely report on the NML mailing list (hence the lack of a experience document yet). IFSP (Sao Paulo) has been working on extending NML to packet-switched networks; University of Amsterdam has enhanced the RDF/OWL schema, for automatic reasoning about computer networks; recently I got a query to use NML to describe commercial ISP networks in Kenia and Uganda. Is there a particular use case you have in mind? Regards, Freek Dijkstra PS: Tomorrow is my last day of work before my annual leave, and I won't have access to my laptop; please bear with me if I'm not able to respond swiftly.
