
I also vote A. If we don't put the right 'building blocks' in from the beginning, I think we are in danger of not having the seamless upgrade path Chin mentioned. So it is important to me that we get the model for how different layers/technologies relate to each other. I vote A. Just to reiterate, I think that we can construct the base schema without layer or technology specific information, but provide the basic building blocks for relating elements and describing the services they provide. I also don't think that it is that difficult so I don't think it will set us back time-wise.
