Dear Internet2 people, and everyone else with an installed base: The (PerfSONAR) network descriptions seem to use these URIs: urn:ogf:network:domain=Internet2.edu:node=packrat:port=eth0:link=1 This syntax seems to imply that there is a strict hierarchy from domain to node, to port. Perhaps you like to see this hierarchy also in the NML schema to come. For example because you have an installed base and don't want to rewrite your software. In that case, I think _now is the time to act_. Go to the wiki, and write down what requirements you want or need. In this case, you perhaps like to have a 1:many relation between domain and node, and a 1:many relation between node and port. Please, be careful though -- the terminology used on the wiki now may not be the same as used by you. Try to find out, and write that down too. For example, your 'network' may be listed as 'domain' or 'network', 'node' as 'device' and 'port' as 'interface'. If this is confusing, or you prefer another terminology, by all means change it or add an alternative name (just make sure the definition is clear to all). Thanks, Freek
