OGF achieved major milestones in 2007 with the announcement of product implementations of the HPC Profile and demonstrations of many other OGF standards. With that in mind, we have designed the OGF22 program to build on this momentum and to make significant additional progress throughout 2008 toward our mission of ensuring the widespread adoption of Grids. OGF22 Program Highlights include: * A two day Specification Adoption track that will feature sessions covering the HPC Profile, Distributed Resource Management Application API (DRMAA), Simple API for Grid Applications (SAGA), Network Measurements/Network Mark-up Language, and OGSA Authorization standards as well as implementation presentations from Grid Interoperation Now (GIN), OMII-Europe, and UNICORE. * Keynote presentations from Charlie Catlett, CIO of Argonne National Laboratory, Craig Lee, OGF President, and other Grid luminaries to be announced. * Demonstrations from many of the Specification Adoption presenters at the welcome reception. * Cloud Systems BoF that will set the current cloud scene and review options for OGF activities in this emerging area that has recently garnered substantial interest. * A full day "Enabling the Next Generation IT Infrastructure" program featuring presentations and case studies on the use of Grid in the IT data center and Grid and Virtualization applications. Presentations are planned by leading IT vendors and Grid users including VMware, Intel, Platform Computing, SAS, CA, Data Synapse and many others. * Half day workshops focused on the challenges and opportunities facing the Financial Services and Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Life Sciences industries as they continue to deploy leading edge Grid solutions. Case studies and presentations are planned by representatives from major financial services, pharmaceutical, and life sciences organizations. * A one day Data Management and Movement workshop where thought leaders in the data area will address key Grid data management concerns, with a focus on file system and data movement. * Additional community driven content including: + Collaboration workshop with the Open Geospatial Consortium + Workshop for Grid Identity Providers + Globus GridWay tutorial + Grid Best Practices + Grid Requirements Gathering + Globus Software User Experiences Workshop * The current list of Chartered Group that have requested sessions include: + Grid Scheduling Architecture RG + Preservation Environments RG + Grid Storage Management WG + OGSA Authorization WG + Remote Instrumentation Services in Grid Environment RG + OGSA Resource Selection Services WG + Usage Record WG + GridRPC WG + Simple API for Grid Applications Core WG + Grid Information Retrieval WG + Reference Model WG + Network Mark-up Language Working Group + Info Dissemination WG + Particle and Nuclear Physics Applications RG + Workflow Management RG + Astronomy Applications RG + OGSA-Data WG + Education and Training CG + Grid High-Performance Networking RG + OGSA Data Movement Interface WG OGF has secured a block of sleeping rooms at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge (meeting location) at a special rate of $129 for single or double occupancy.
