Folks, First of all a reminder that everybody's favourite document, GFD.125-bis is still available for public comments, until 10 May: http://redmine.ogf.org/projects/editor-pubcom/boards/8 Secondly, there is an OGF coming up which as you will just have been informed is in an entanglement between two locations. The XSEDE schedule is here: https://www.xsede.org/web/xsede13/schedule but doesn't seem to have any security area content other than the OGF (although I may have missed it); TNC does have identity management and federations on Tuesday https://tnc2013.terena.org/core/schedule/list/day/04%252F06%252F2013 (although they're parallel!) They are not even at the same time, so you could attend both! If you are a group chair of one of the security area groups, please let me know what you're planning. If you are in a group and not a group chair, can you please let your group chair know? Thanks --jens
I'm thinking we've been a little slow to be able to set-up our group meetings for the Maastricht meeting. Unless the Nikhef folk fancy making a room available perhaps on the Friday. Alternatively, would folk want me to register anything for OGF38b (I don't know yet whether I'll have funds to attend a third consecutive US based meeting in person, but if not I could try to attend via technology). Hi Mike, As you say, this is now all rather late. I will be at TNC2013 but have already made travel plans to return on Thursday afternoon/evening - not easy to change these. There may be a couple of hours available after the end of TNC2013 and before I have to catch a train for the airport - have not yet looked in the train timetable. Personally I am not able to make OGF38b (neither in person nor remotely). At the requestor Jens, OGF will be paying for a meeting room and a coffee break Thursday afternoon after the Maastricht meeting. I believe he said that at least he would like to have the CAOps and FedSec groups meet there, also VOMS-Proc if possible. Hope the helps. It is costing us a few hundred Euros, so I hope people will be able to stick around! Alan P.S.: Please put OGF 39 + EGI Technical Forum on your calendar in September; there will also be a Cloud Interoperability workshop (project presentations invited!) Wednesday and Cloud Plugfest Thursday and Friday of that week I believe. Big event, multiple sponsors, very important to have good representation and participation there.
