Cloud Trust Protocol Technical Model - input requested

The Cloud Security Alliance has prepared a publicly available draft of something they call the “Cloud Trust Protocol” and is requesting public comment. My own take on this is that it is largely a document about service objectives, including measurements and metrics, and should e labeled as that instead of as a “trust protocol”. The document is available as an editable/commentable Google Doc by filling out the form at the link below. The input deadline has been extended to March 16. Without pushing any particular OGF technology or approach (although I think this use case is completely covered by WS-Agreement, especially in its RESTful implementations), I would like to encourage you to read the document and to supply the CSA with any appropriate input or comments. If this is something we need to bring more widely to the attention of the OGF community, please let me know. Please do respond on your own, if you can and prefer, and/or let me know if you think that OGF should send in a more organized response. New documents of the group

Dear GRAAPians, as you might probably already have seen two documents of the group have been published as GFDs two weeks ago: GFD.192 which obsoletes the WS-Agreement spec document GFD.107 The normative part of GFD.107 is unchanged but a number of typos and formatting inconsistencies, which have been reported since the document was published in 2007 have been fixed in the non-normative part. GFD.193 WS-Agreement Negotiation is the proposed recommendation for extended negotiation capabilities on top of WS-Agreement. As I wrote in my last mail the group is currently working on the specification of a RESTful rendering for WS-Agreement. We are currently aware of three different approaches: HLRS Stuttgart and Technical University of Dortmund. If you know about other ongoing work or plan something yourself please let the group know. We will set up a wiki-page with information on these implementations. Also, if you plan to implement WS-Agreement Negotiation please let us know. We plan to maintain a list of implementations similar to that for WS-Agreement. Besides being useful for others (WS-Agreement has now received some interest in the Cloud environment) this list will help us when preparing the experience document within the next two years. GRAAP sessions during OGF33 in Lyon

Dear GRAAPians, we had two sessions at OGF33 with fruitful discussions on the state of the group, smaller projects around WS-Agreement and WS-Agreement Negotiation and the future work on a RESTful rendering for WS-Agreement. The minutes are accessible in the group's gridforge space. The WS-Agreement errata (fixing typos in the non-normative part) and WS-Agreement Negotiation are ready to be published as GFD.192 and GFD.193 respectively. I will come back soon to start activities we have agreed upon during OGF33.
