Re: [glue-wg] GLUE 2 SQL Schema

Hi Timo, I'm not sure if I understand correctly, but the Glue 2.0 discussion is still ongoing and there are still a lot of open topics. Especially the storage schema part has recently being attacked and therefore the current relational Glue 2.0 model isn't mature. I'm not sure how much you want to use it. The Computing Service part should be up-to date with the draft #20 (http://forge.ogf.org/sf/go/doc14639?nav=1) but still needs to be discussed very soon. If you wish to play with the latest rendering you'll find more information here : https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/EGEE/ExampleGlue20SQL I'm open for proposals concerning the model, so if you need help or encounter any problems feel free to ask. Hi Felix, we are aware that everything is in an experimental state far from a final version. We just wanted to create some sql tables in our testbed in a form close to the draft version of Glue 2.0 to get a first impression and to later build upon that base. If there are already some premature experimental SQL CREATE TABLE commands for the draft version, for example for the computing service, it could be better to use those, than to invent new. Whenever possible, it would be great if you could publish them at the wiki page you mentioned. thanks, Timo Felix Nikolaus Ehm wrote:

Hi Timo, for sure thats a good idea. Especially encountered problems can be considered better in current stage of the model draft. But of course it could also be that my rendering of it in a relational model must be changed/improved :-). The DLL file is available for MySQL and attached to the twiki page I've sent you. You may have to activate 'show attachments' at the bottom of the page. There you'll find a file called 'GLUE20Schema.sql' - thats what you need.
