Subject: Request for new GOCDB service type: wlcg.webdav.tape
Hi all,
GOCDB has received a request to add a new service type, summarised below. As per the lightweight review process, please raise any concerns about this proposal on the GGUS ticket by 8th March: https://ggus.eu/index.php?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=165354
* Name of the service: wlcg.webdav.tape
* High-level description of the service functionality: This type allows downtimes to be declared for tape services, in particular those provided by endpoints that also serve disk storage, which need not be down at the same time. It is the WebDAV equivalent of SRM.nearline.
* Project/community/organisation maintaining the software: a number of storage middleware providers (dCache, etc.)
* Scope of deployment (number of instances and by which organisations): all WLCG T1 sites in EGI, currently 12
* Contact point: Maarten.Litmaath(a)cern.ch<mailto:Maarten.Litmaath@cern.ch>
Thanks,
The GOCDB Team.
