Physical Reresentational relationship?

Dear all, Over and over again, I keep asking myself why a physical instance of a service is 1:1 mapped with a representation of it. For VO service discovery this is odd to my mind, especially for service discovery (Even with monitoring in the use cases this seems strange as most things are partitioned at the VO level, eg storage and computing) In other words why does the Glue schema have a service entity which is mapped 1:1 with physical instance and not an VO-service entity? Maybe such a change is too radical? Maybe it eliminates some benefits we currently have with our "rich" VO relationships in parts of the schema? This basic unit may reduce the entities within the schema in the style of database third normal form. This question is from me, and should not be misconstrued as representing anything other than a question, as at this stage of discussion it would appear to late to reorganise the entities into third normal form. Meeting up during WLCG workshop?

Organization of GLUE sessions at OGF 23

Dear all, 11th April is the deadline for presenting requests for sessions for the next OGF 23 (2-6 June, Barcelona, Spain). In one of the scheduled telecons, I would like to define our requests. LRMSType in GLUE 2.0

Hi, I have been looking at the current draft of GLUE 2.0 to see how our existing infrastructure deployed on GLUE 1.2 (with APACGrid extensions) would move to GLUE 2.0, and I have realized that the LRMSType_t type used for the LRMSType field lists only two schedulers - "openpbs" and "lsf" - even though there is a number of others used around ("LoadLeveler", "SGE", "Torque" ... and few other flavours of PBS, which might have an entry on its own). I see that the field is typed as an Open enumeration, and at the syntactical level, it may not be necessary to list all the possible values in the specification. But I think that the widely used schedulers should be included - what's the general opinion on this? Thanks in advance for the feedback.
