Re: [gin-ops] [gin-auth] start Savannah run

Thanks David, Yes, it looks like the .r0 hasn't been updated on tg-grid: ginuser@tg-grid1:/etc/grid-security> openssl crl -noout -text -in /etc/grid-security/certificates/1e12d831.r0 Certificate Revocation List (CRL): Version 1 (0x0) Signature Algorithm: md5WithRSAEncryption Issuer: /C=AU/O=APACGrid/OU=CA/CN=APACGrid/Email=camanager@vpac.org Last Update: Jan 3 05:20:37 2007 GMT Next Update: Feb 2 05:20:37 2007 GMT Can someone update it? To check a crl, do this -
openssl crl -noout -text -in crl.pem
It will show -
Last Update: Feb 6 01:13:14 2007 GMT Next Update: Mar 8 01:13:14 2007 GMT for example.
Now, its possible that the .r0 file has not been updated recently because of -
* an error in the local cron job that gets it (check date). * an error in the IGTF repository (unlikely) * an error in the generation of the CRL (no, I checked!)
David
Hi, Colin,
APAC current crl is http://ca.apac.edu.au/pub/crl/cacrl.pem.

Hi Terrence,
I temporarily removed the CRL's from my certificate directory and the same error appears. If I am reading the error correctly, it looks like the server's APAC CRL has expired (1e12d831.r0)? I'd test on the command
but I don't know how to get the expiry date from a .r0 file.

Hi Colin, that was my next question if the CRL is up to date. :) I have seen the SSL handshake problem with clock synch issues however CRL out of date is something to watch for. Interesting I am told in at least some versions if the CRL directory is empty the test to see if the CRL is out of date never fails....

Hi Terrence,
The clock on remus and tg-grid1 are within a few seconds of each other (maybe closer, I can't type that fast). Using Mike's suggestion (thankyou Mike) it looks like the "server" has an expired revocation list:

Just in case, can you confirm that the time is synchronized on the local and remote system?
