Hello all, Is it possible for me to use the java implementation of DRMAA by SGE or condor to submit my application to condor or SGE or also to any other DRM such as LSF, SLURM ? The DRMAA implementations from OGE and Condor are tied specifically to those systems. I'm not aware of a cross-DRM DRMAA library today. That said, DRMAA is a standard, so if you write your code to the DRMAA standard, you should be able to run it against any DRM's DRMAA library. Daniel On 6/25/10 4:48 AM, AMARNATH, Balachandar wrote:

LSF supports the C DRMAA bindings, but lacks Java DRMAA support. You can always port the SGE Java bindings to other batch systems, like what the XGrid implementation did a few years ago: http://edbaskerville.com/2006/07/11/java-bindings-working/ Rayson

Yes, the OGE DRMAA Java bindings were written to be portable, so it should be little to no effort to "port" them to any other DRM that provides a C binding. Daniel On 6/25/10 9:34 AM, Rayson Ho wrote:

BTW, does anyone know if SLURM really support DRMAA?? If I recall correctly, SLURM is not designed for running commercial workloads and thus supporting DRMAA is not one of their goals. Rayson On Fri, Jun 25, 2010 at 12:37 PM, Daniel Templeton <daniel.templeton@oracle.com> wrote:

There is no DRMAA for SRLM yet. But maybe after this summer there will be one ;-) But i can not promise anything now. On 25 June 2010 18:42, Rayson Ho <rayrayson@gmail.com> wrote:
