Dear all, the new GridForge seems now to be finished, so DRMAA is also back again: https://forge.gridforum.org/sf/projects/drmaa-wg I would like to take the chance for the following changes in our outside world representation: * Change DRMAA.ORG start page to one of the DRMAA Wiki pages. We anyway need to correct all links, so it is the same work to prepare this wiki page. I would suggest to stick with our own Wiki installation - DRMAA.ORG should not completely rely on GridForge availability ;-) ... * Change the GridForge project startup page, and replace charts with some informative text. * Move the DRMAA test suite source code and binary releases to GridForge. Comments ? Regards, Peter.
Please note that while the data transition is complete, some configuration changes to GF and some instabilities are to be expected during this week. I don't want to discourage you to use it, not at all, but please be patient :-) Cheers, Andre. Quoting [Peter Troeger] (Jun 07 2006):

Does the latter have any implication on DRMAA test suite source license? Regards, Andreas

Sun donated the N1GE test suite code without restrictions to DRMAA group. The group made several modifications to it, so it is now really a piece work by itself. I don't see a reason while code in GridForge falls under any GGF software licence. So far, only the specs and presentations are copyrighted by GGF. Hrabri, this might be a good question for our area directors. Peter.

I am OK with both. For the second proposal we would need to check if GGF has any imposed templates for the group starting pages.
* Move the DRMAA test suite source code and binary releases to GridForge.
GGF claims everything on there pages ... and stick its copyright. Regards Hrabri

Hi Folx, sorry that this is not obvious rtight now, but the startup page will be automatically created from the data base info (charter, milestones, mailing list info etc). That should be in place tomorrow. It might be interesting to you that its possible to integrate drmaa.org into an additional tool button in GF. The project admin should find a respective option in the project configuration section. Let me know if you want that, and need help. Cheers, Andre. Quoting [Hrabri Rajic] (Jun 07 2006):

In sum, we talk about a moving target. Too bad. We will wait with major changes until someone declares GridForge as stable again. Regards, Peter. Andre Merzky schrieb:

The groups facade is in place - please check out http://forge.ggf.org/sf/projects/drmaa-wg I would like to encourage you to have a custom entry page on the integrated wiki, if the group facade is not good enough for your purposes. Alternatively, it is possible to change/extend the information used for the group facade. Cheers, Andre. PS.: a cache refresh might be needed to see the change Quoting [Andre Merzky] (Jun 08 2006):

Hi Hrabri, the entry page cannot be customized directly, as the data on it are pulled from a data base. You can extend/change these infos in the database however, as I said below: for that, you can use the tools from the 'living charter' project which Joel created. Joel, could you forward Hrabri the links to the tools? I did not bookmark them *blush* That sounds more complicated then a wiki entry page, we know. The motivation is: - to provide a uniform entry page - to have the important group info (charter, milestones, chair infos etc) available in a data base, to allow for consistent usage in various places, and for the GGF roadmap etc. - ADs and chairs etc are supposed to be able to check for milestones and progress by querying the data base Cheers, Andre.
