Make sure the DRMAA list also know about this too... We had some discussions about adding PHP binding for DRMAA a few weeks ago. Rayson On 5/2/06, Bernard Li <bli@bcgsc.ca> wrote:
I think bindings for PHP could be useful for creating web portals, so that can be worked this into the proposal. However writing the bindings AND a portal could be quite a challange for the summer - depends on the student's ability and familiarity with the systems.
P.S. The ideas listed in the page are just guidelines, students are in fact encouraged to submit ideas/proposals of their own, as long as they are relevant to OSCAR.

As was suggested by Andreas, DRMAA bindings for Ruby or PHP is useful - is it possible to have a project opened for that?

Hello:
Sorry for the cross post, but I thought that this announcement is interesting to students who subscribe to the mailing-lists.
This year, OSCAR (http://oscar.openclustergroup.org) is participating in Google's Summer of Code program again and there are various project ideas that folks on the various lists may be interested in working on.
For more information regarding the Summer of Code program, see:
Our project ideas are listed here:
http://oscar.openclustergroup.org/soc2006
If you have questions regarding any of the project ideas, please send them to oscar-devel@lists.sourceforge.net (you need to be subscribed to the list), unless you think that the discussions are useful for the other mailing-lists as well (want to limit on the number of cross posts...)
Thanks for your attention and good luck with your applications!
Cheers,
Bernard
