Alan, some comments:

1) Fig 2
      <xs:annotation>
       <xs:appinfo source=”http://www.ogf.org/dfdl/”>
         <dfdl:defineFormat name='myFormat' encoding="ASCII" />
       </xs:appinfo>
     </xs:annotation>


I don't think the spec allows the encoding property directly on the dfdl:defineFormat ?   There needs to be a dfdl:format.

2) Glossary defines "directly relevant" but should be defining "applicable".
