FYI here is a summary of XSLT variable semantics:

http://www.stylusstudio.com/w3c/xslt/variables.htm#variables

It would be nice if DFDL variables turned out to have either compatible semantics or a subset of them.

Thanks,

Martin

[dfdl-wg] Updated versions of the Variables in DFDL, Supporting Choices in DFDL and Supporting wildcards in DFDL documents

Hi,

I have attached updated versions of the documents that I sent last week and that are to be discussed on this Wednesdays conference call. The main changes are that the concept of desciminators have been decoupled from variables and an example has been added for the service string scenario in the Variables in DFDL document.
