On the DFDL Workgroup Call today we decided to make more use of github issues and eliminate the effort of "action item" tracking in the call agendas and minutes. The objective is to get the entire thread about a given discussion in one place. When raising an issue for discussion or clarification, the process is now to * open an issue on our github project and describe the concern there * send email to this mailing list with the URL of that issue * all discussion will then occur in that issue via the github site by adding comment to the issue Issues can still be searched by way of the github search interface. Note that participants in this mailing list will *not* be automatically notified of discussion comments added to these issues unless they either * Use github to subscribe to the OpenGridForum/DFDL repository in general or * Use github to subscribe to a specific issue of interest. The minutes for the call today (2025-02-13) close out all the "action items" and replace them with corresponding github issues.
