Padding to minlength Discussion on best way to pad to minlength for non-string text representations Decided to split textpadCharacter into textStringPadChar, textNumberPadChar and textCalenedarPadChar so that different defaults can be set up for each type, Decided that all the ICU pattern special characters should be allowed, in particular the padding character to allow padding after the sign or currency symbol.
