Infoset order It was agreed that the infoset needs to be in the schema order otherwise it would not be possible to know if elements were missing which needed defaulting on unparsing. 2. Unparsing, Augmented infoset. Discussed latest version of description of unparsing including the introduction of the 'augmented infoset' concept. Agreed it can be added to spec. 3. Byte Order Mark. Reviewed Unicode documents on BOM and concluded that DFDL should provide no special treatment so it will be treated as a normal code point. If a document contains an optional BOM then it should be defined as an optional, hidden field and an expression used to set the dfdl:byteOrder property. 4. enums and expressions During the BOM discussion it was noted that current dfdl syntax rules do not allow expressions for enumerated properties. AP to make a proposal. 5. Hidden element syntax Discussed IBM's outline proposal for using groups to define hidden elements which would allow their syntax to be validated by an XML parser. Agreed in principle, SH to circulate detailed proposal. 6. Gridforge Gridforge seem to be working again so will not look for alternatives 7. AOB MB on vacation for the next 2 weeks.
