Action created Property Name Description decimalCalendarScheme Indicates that decimal calendars are described by a defined calendar scheme. Discuss lengthKind issues New Lengthkind document was distributed and discussion continued from last call Decided dfdl will do minimal type conversion of binary numbers. Decimal and integer can have only have packed decimal or BCD numberFormat. Int, short, long, byte can only have 2sComplement. MB didn't like endOfBitstream property as if is nit composable. Decided to separate EoD from delimited again and have special meaning that EOD on the last item of a top level sequence means endOfBitstream. MB to provide description and examples of use. Need to revisit the EndOfData property name. MB not happy with lengthKind=pattern on binary fields. Would like use cases. Decided not to support extended float (128 bit) until XML provides an simple type that matches. MB agreed to use numberpattern with stated restrictions to calculated implict lengths of number/text fields. Discussion of what to do if conlficts with TotalDigits. Resolution of the remaining WTX spec issues

Steve and I went through the WTX issues document and decided which issues and been resolved and which require further discussion. I have updated the latest version (033) of the DFDL specification for (most of) the resolved issues. We should discuss the remaining unresolved issues on the next DFDL_WG call. Go through actions status updated below 003: AP is updating spec from WTX review and will produce a list of remaining unresolved items 007: Discussion about how expressions can be allowed in enumerated fields such as encoding. Simplest would be to convert enum properties to string but that wouldn't allow schema validation to catch errors. 2. Version 003 work items The list of work items had been distributed and was discussed. Items requiring discussion will be converted to actions. Work items will also be tracked in this meeting. 3. Update to Decimal supplement SH had distributed an updated proposal which was discussed. General agreement on the changes with the main point of discussion being the use of numberCheckPolicy to control the behaviour of the new numberZeroRep property. MB to review 4.
