Nigeria Can't Dodge $70M Award Over State Immunity

An appeals court ruled Thursday that Nigeria is liable for a $70 million arbitral award in favor of a Chinese investor, finding that the courts did not need to determine whether the country was entitled to state immunity before making an enforcement order.
