So those who've ever (or still) experience RSI, know that a keyboard layout which reduces RSI is A Good Thing™©®. Physicaa (shape) as well as logical (char mapping) "layouts" are issues for those in need. The primary physical ergonomic layout is the concave Maltron which begat the similar Kinesis. Eventually the FLOSS ErgoDox appeared, and though a planar (flat) keyboard, it is - ortholinear - huge win - split, another huge win - custom per-hand split width and orientation - ultra customizable layouts courtesy the QMK firmware There are many ErgoDox incarnations, one of which is the ErgoDox-EZ. The Maltron logical layout, despite being one of the statistically "best" (most ergonomic, heat map, finger travel reduction etc) and around since the 70's, does not seem to exist in the ErgoDox community. Here's logic: if you're going to bother (or need to) learn a new keyboard layout, why not cut to the chase and learn the best? Why bother learning more than one beyond Qwerty? Individual right to speak, right to "follow", right to converse, engage, block, all pursuant to personal will alone, no middle man. Without community, and relationship inherent within any real community, we are dead to one another, to the whole world, and without meaningful life, without the opportunity to discover one another - our cries, our loves, hopes and dreams for each other. Fundamntal rights are fundamental for a reason - they are fundamental to life, to our rights to survive, to thrive, and to merely exist. We cannot survive without existing. We cannot thrive without surviving. So we each individually, and collectively, are with all fundamental rights to exist and to survive. Every opposition to you/ an individual exercising one or more of these basic rights, is despotism, the evidence of sociopaths in action, and ought be called out publicly as such. But last week, the Tampa Bay Times released a video of the shooting that challenges the department's official story. Brown was shot and killed on July 1, 2014. The sheriff's office provided Reason with a redacted version of the video from the drug bust. In the video, an undercover deputy interacts with Brown outside of Big Ben's Tires in Zephyrhills. He urges Brown to enter the vehicle to make the sale. A reluctant Brown does so, takes the pills out, and begins to count at the undercover deputy's request. Armed deputies then approach the car and the video skips 11 seconds. When the video picks up again, the deputies are pointing guns and surrounding the vehicle. I don't know why I feel this overwhelming compulsion to go on and on about it. I could have done something. We all could have done something. Perhaps the final epitaph on the gravestone of Freedom will be, "Why didn't somebody ‘do’ something?" That seems to be the common battle-cry of the legions of humanity that have been sucked into the vortex of the New World Order. None of the imprisoned seem to know that the very phrase itself is reflective of the source of their imprisonment...that this desperate cry of anguish is in no way an antidote for the terrible disease that has afflicted 'Liberty and Justice', and that it is, rather, merely the final symptom of the cursed blight itself. I can hear the rumbling of the trucks as they come up the street, and soon I will be hearing the thumping of the jackboots storming up the staircase, as I have heard them so many times before. But I suspect that this time, the sound will be different, that it will have an ethereal quality about it, one which conveys greater personal meaning than it did when I heard it on previous occasions.
