Hi Team, Please consider attending this session. It will be useful to CDDLM for many reasons, such as learning about WSDM and its use and about demonstrating interoperability. Thanks, Dejan. -----Original Message----- From: Fred Maciel [mailto:Fred.Maciel@hds.com] Sent: Tuesday, May 10, 2005 6:43 PM To: foster@mcs.anl.gov; hiro.kishimoto@jp.fujitsu.com; grimshaw@cs.virginia.edu; daveb@nesc.ac.uk; luniew@us.ibm.com; dejan@hpl.hp.com; tkojo@mvi.biglobe.ne.jp; kfukui@labs.fujitsu.com; studwell@us.ibm.com; peter.ziu@ngc.com; asm100@doc.ic.ac.uk; darren@pulsipher.org; ali@epcc.ed.ac.uk Cc: David Snelling Subject: WSDM interop demo session and related WG schedule To: Ian Foster, Hiro Kishimoto, Andrew Grimshaw, Dave Barry , Allen Luniewski, Dejan Milojicic, Takashi Kojo, Keisuke Fukui, Thomas Studwell, Peter Ziu, Steve McGough , Darren Pulsipher, Ali Anjomshoaa Cc: David Snelling Folks, The OASIS WSDM will be participating very actively in GGF14, one of the highlights being a plenary/outreach kind of session from 2:00p - 3:30p on Wednesday, June 29. This session will show how WSDM is useful throughout the GGF, by showing very different devices using WSDM, and also to do an interoperability demonstration of WSDM using these devices. We will call the press and analysts for PR, and people from multiple companies will be developing software and bringing equipement (e.g. heavy servers) for that session. In other words, this is a major event for the WSDM TC which will require a considerable amount of effort from the WSDM participants and from OASIS. One of our concerns is having enough participation from GGF to justify the effort. So I am requesting the GGF not to schedule related WGs at the same time (this includes WGs in which the participants might have interest in WSDM). So, I included your WGs in the list that I submitted to the GGF: - OGSA - OGSA-BES - OGSA-D - CDDLM-WG - ACS - JSDL - Naming I presume that this does not affect your plans, and I'm just sending this e-mail just FYI. Of course, I'm looking forward to your presence in the WSDM demo session. Regards, Fred Maciel Hitachi America R&D
