IGTF, CAOps, other activities at GGF 18
It would be nice to compile a list of topics and sessions of interest for CA operations and related topics at GGF 18. Does anyone have such a list started? Hello Alan, As far as I remember the OCSP document was *almost* finished, so maybe it could be a good idea to finally release it at GGF18....doesn't it? Best regards, Oscar and Jesus Mensaje citado por Alan Sill <Alan.Sill@TTU.EDU>:

That should certainly be on it. Other points for CAOPS and IGTF: CAOPS - OCSP document - Certificate Profile - Federation Glossary (continued from the Tokio discussions) - AP document template IGTF - MICS profile assignment - plenary discussion and (hopefully) some resolution of the Classic issues - official handover of IGTF chairmanship to Yoshio :-) Darcy, as the only CAOPS chair left to fully function these days, can you get the regular two slots for CAOPS in Washington?
Best regards, Oscar and Jesus

Thanks. Dates and times of relevant sessions would be helpful. I think Darcy said he may not have filed in time for some specific deadlines, but we can always plan to get together as time allows, or make a special appeal for organized space and time. Knowing who is planning to attend GGF18 would be helpful as well. Alan On Aug 10, 2006, at 2:50 AM, David Groep wrote:

Hi Alan, Even though we won't be there, if necessary we can join by teleconf -just like in the last EUGridPMA meeting-. Regards, Oscar & Jesus Alan Sill wrote:

I'll see if we can set this up. As a fallback, Darcy or anyone, is there a way of arranging to have a speakerphone available in our sessions? Alan On Nov 10, 2006, at 1:22 PM, Jesus Luna wrote:

Ok. I've been negligent in putting together an agenda for the CAOPS WG so far. Thanks for reminding me! We already have two sessions reserved. Usually we've used an entire one and half hour session for CAOPS-related papers, and one session for IGTF-related discussion. We could subdivide one session, of course. Does anyone else want to add anything else to the agenda? Please tell me and I'll try to add it to the agenda. Darcy On 8/10/06, David Groep <davidg@nikhef.nl> wrote:

Hi Darcy, When are the sessions? To have the possibility of interacting with some of the US Federal Bridge people, I hope there is some time on the 14th... I think we should discuss the Root CA profile and the Membership- based one that Tony proposed and had been working on. Also I would like some interaction about the Bridge-CA working group that we formed in Ottawa, to report on its status and keep that discussion going. On today's TAGPMA phone call, Darcy mentioned that he plans on the basis of feedback received so far to swap (if possible) the times for the CAOps and IGTF sessions at GGF 18 to be as follows: Tuesday Sep. 12 4:00 - 5:30 CAOps Wednesday, Sep. 13 1:30 - 3:00 IGTF If this would cause anyone any difficulty, please give feedback to Darcy. Hi Alan, Tony, all, Alan Sill wrote:

I propose that we modify the MICS draft to also fit "self-service" CAs that serve entire (national) federations, so that support a membership that spans more than one organization. This would fit quite well with the upcoming SWITCHaai based CA, and is not too far off from the current draft. I'm willing to volunteer and edit the current MICS draft to include federations, as well as incorporating the text on the "time-shifted" IdM requirements that is in the current Classic 4.1b2 draft. In the end, the MICS would have these IdM requirements, and they need not be incorporated in Classic. As we (very briefly) discussed in Ottawa: this MICS version would have the F2F requirement to be as close as possible to the classic in terms of identity vetting. We can then later add other assurance levels as soon as RPs need them, and (maybe) do that across all profiles. Agreed? If so, I'll try to send you all a new draft in 1-2 days. So we will have plenty to discuss during the CAOPS#2 session as well :-) Cheers, DavidG.

Quite true. Can be in either session as far as I'm concerned ...
