Dear Community Council, I made some changes (attached) based on our discussion today as well as tried to center these event objectives to be more inline with the overall Community objectives from our GGF15 Boston F2F. Please review and provide feedback as soon as possible, and if we are in agreement, than Julie will represent these in the ESC. Thank you.
P.S., Julie am I are working to flesh-out the next level of detail for the overall Community objectives, again based on our GGF15 Boston F2F. We should have those ready for our Community F2F meeting at SC05. My recommendation is for each Area to have missions, objectives, and proposed projects that are "double-clicks" of the overall Community mission and objectives. I think that this will give us a consistent flow and help those on the outside looking-in to better understand where/how we fit into the overall GGF org as well as understand how to engage with us.

Dear all,
Just a reminder that our next telecon will be held at 10:00a central on Tuesday, 11/8, (immediately following the all-GFSG EGA discussion), with the following dial-in:
US: 1-888-455-3044

Pass Code: 95465.
Discussion items include:
*Review of actions from last meeting:
-ADs for each Area to write Area mission, objectives and proposed projects to be review in next bi-weekly in prep for SC05 F2F. These items are critical to the productivity of our SC Meeting (in addition to improving our internal and external communication).

Have a good weekend,
Julie

Dear Community Council,
Attached, you will find notes from last week's Community Council telecon as well as Friday's GGF16 PC meeting. I have extracted the following from the GGF16PC meeting for brief discussion on tomorrow's GFSG call if time allows:
++++
Proposed process for GGF16 Program solicitation, submission, etc.
*Upon reviewing the overall event structure, it was decided that representatives from the following areas be solicited to participate in the GGF16 PC:
-Operations (logistics, marketing),
-Standards (for highlighting of Standards activities),
-Discussion surrounding a Standards Council Plenary whereby no other standards sessions be scheduled at that time. Potential topics would be an OGSA overview or Standards Roadmap Plenary.
-Community (new and existing communities, new research and community groups, improving communication between communities and standards, etc.),
-Local Hosting Organization (GRNET, Kyriakos, etc.)
From this committee, PC Chairs will be elected.
++++
The next community council telecon will be next Tuesday (08-Nov), agenda and dial-in forthcoming.
Regards,
Julie
