advance for your attention regarding our preparation for GGF16]
Dear all,
Below are some GF16 Community Council actions that I have captured from
our recent meetings, followed by some requests for information that I
need from you in preparation for GGF16.
Action: Recruit participants for the Vendor Adoption Forum
Action: Socialize End User Groups to the VOC (Voice of the
Community) documents
Please review the most recent list of registrants and let me know if
you have suggestions for key people that we should arrange meetings with
at GGF16. There are also sessions that should have community
representation for this purpose. The spreadsheet attached will be
updated with AD 'assignments' based on what sessions you will
attend. Please review the spreadsheet and let me know if you, a
fellow AD, or designee, plan to attend un-assigned sessions.
Action: Prepare for 'Area Report Cards' (including visibility
for the successes of groups within the community function) and represent
the community council in program sessions
Many of the sessions on the attached spreadsheet have already been
assigned by Area for the purpose of area report cards (for example, the
groups that fall under community areas). Post-GGF16, we'd like to
have an Area report-out on community sessions that took place at
GGF16. Let me know if I am missing any of your community group
sessions, bofs, etc.
Action: GGF16 Community Council meetings (f2f agenda,
availability for additional meetings, etc.)
As usual, we will be holding our GFSG f2f meeting all day on Sunday
and as stated above, we would like to try to schedule sidebar meetings
with appropriate people to discuss VOCs, End User Forum, etc.
Please let me know if you plan to attend GGF16 as well as your
arrival/departure days so that wI can start to coordinat
schedules.
Action: Community Input to Event Survey
Please let me know if you have suggestions for other data that should
be collected in our event survey. Do you think we should include
all program sessions on the final page? We will also solicit the
standards folks for similar information.
