Sorry for duplicates ------------------------------------------------------------ As of yesterday, all GGF/OGF mailing lists are migrated to the ogf domain. They are now managed by mailman, the web interface is available at http://www.ogf.org/mailman/listinfo With that migration, all list can be now reached via <list>@ogf.org The old @ggf.org addresses will be available for some time, but are bound to disappear eventually - please start using the ogf addresses! A number of lists have changed their names: ggf-it --> ogf-it ggf-office --> ogf-office ggf-proc-wg --> ogf-proc-wg ggf-sponsors --> ogf-sponsors ggf-tutorials --> ogf-tutorials ggf-compute --> ogf-compute ggflistowners --> ogflistowners ggfstudentmembers --> ogfstudentmembers Postings to the old list names get forwarded to the new ones. With the migration we have also been able to fix the archives - you may have noticed that list archiving stopped sometime in mid June. Well, now its working again, and all mails from June to now have been added to the archive. The list archives can be found at: http://www.ogf.org/archives/<list> If you are an list administrator, and would like to receive the list admin password, please contact postmaster(a)ogf.org. In general, however, we tried to map the old majordomo settings to the mailman settings, in terms of privacy etc, so no or little changes should be required from your side. The spam avoidance policy has been changed to some extent, and is somewhat stricter than before. Please let us know if you experience any trouble with that. Dear Ian, Yes there was some interest (20 attended) and there was discussion in the end. I have presented some results we obtained at Patras Univ. and it all went well. There are two options as suggested by David De Roure (see also his attached email): 1. complete the documents described in the charter and conclude the rg and get a pad on the back, or 2. Restructure the charter and increase the scope of the rg to include ubiquitous computing, artificial intelligence, sensor networks and such to get more people involved and increase the engagement and consensus in APPAGG. We could even call it UBICOM-RG if that is the general consensus. I favour the second approach as it will set us up faster to keep working on our research and avoid the BOF stages. In the meantime we should try to generate interest in this work. I am attending a workshop on Ubiquitous Computing in Edinburgh next may and I am also trying to get in touch with CoreGRID who have similar interests. If we generate enough interest we can do either of the 2 scenarios described above. What do you think?? Can you help?? Dear Omer and Oliver I will add your names in the APPAGG-RG mailing list so that you can be informed on what is going on and start our cooperation in the fields of ubiguitus computing, ambient intelligence and the GRID. After we produce the architecture requirements document, we can restructure the charter to include your interests and keep working on these inter-related subjects under the umbrella of GGF. Closure of remaining groups?

Dear p2p members, The p2p area has not seen much activity apart from a heroic effort to finish the doc in the ogsap2p research group. That doc is now in the editor pipeline and that group is closing down as discussed with Karan. The group will enter the "completed" state when the doc is published. So now I wish to understand if the appagg-rg is foreseeing any future activity or wish to meet at one of the next GGF's. If not or if I do not get an answer in the reasonable future I suggest also to close down the group.
