At this point the we are compiling and installing gt4 anew for each new machine, even on the same platform.
What we'd like to be able to do is install into a general software tree, and then generate and place machine (i.e. hostname) specific files into a local "/etc/globus" or similar directory.

Pete, I think your messages are delivered on the acs-wg@ggf.org. One note is that the mailing list delivery is sometimes slow. Perhaps now is the busy time for GGF mail delivery, since the deadlines are close and WGs are preparing for it. (I remember the delay was more than 10 hours in the worst time, months ago.)
