Hi folks, I believe that ACS should contain any kind of applications. However, there would be more appropriate applicatioins for ACS. Would you instantiate which sort of application is good to be applied to ACS? Anything from business or scientific application would be good, but I prefer scientific one. Thanks in advance. -- jaegyoon ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Jaegyoon Hahm Grid Technology Research Department KISTI Supercomputing Center, Korea +82-42-869-0580 (Phone) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hello Jaegyoon, Thank you for your interest on ACS. Jaegyoon Hahm wrote:

Well, I think there is no hard condition that eliminates any kind of application. However, the whole thing is well based on the grid use cases, especially in our first specification we had in mind commercial data center use case. As such, I would say "any kind of applications" would be a bit overly saying.

Certainly, a scientific application would be in scope of ACS. Our latest draft spec is now under a large reorganization and is missing the example usages. The previous one contains some detailed description for the data center use case. Among the expected is the 3-tier Web site system, today one of the popular type of E-business system and often to be hosted by ASP. /projects/acs-wg/document/draft-ggf-acs-spec-20050527/en/1 If my answer is besides your points, please let me know. Thank you. Regards, Keisuke Fukui
