Thanks Keisuke... I changed a few words (bolded) in paragraph 5.1 as shown in the attached word doclet. It's okay for Transition to be a verb. Will the date of the document be changed when it is resubmitted? Fig 3-3: Where is ex:data defined? Is that an xsd:any, in which case should the semantics be delcared in ARI/AAF? I thinking that I'd find an enumeration type in the schema for external, embedded. Keisuke Fukui wrote:
Mike, Pete, et al,
I have modified diagram and text addressing the comments in today's call. - removed an arrow starting from the initial state to Ready. - added an arrow starting from the initial state to Failed. - removed "Create/Update" from trigger labels to shorten them. - Arranged layout so it look simple. - Added below text in the first paragraph in section 5.1. "Note that Create/Update operation can result in Ready or Failed state without transition to the NotReady state, depending on the result of the operation or implementations."
A request: I'm not sure if I used the word "transition" correctly. Can I use it as a verb? If not, what word I can use as a verb.
I'm waiting for your comments/suggestions including other parts.

- Reviewed Section 5.1 and 5.2 Mike pointed out that it is not clear if the client get NotReady state before moving to Ready state. Keisuke will clarify this point in the text. Modification of the state diagram is agreed, to delete the lower arrow starting from the initial state to the Ready state.
