As for relationship to data area, it needs more research on their works. We may drop the section in case. Action: Tom, Mike and Pete, to write their parts by next Wednesday. * Review of the proposed draft for the chapter 5. The proposed draft was agreed to be merged though it needs more discussion in detail. Pete suggested that identifier generated by ACS is required in order to identify distributing pieces uniquely. The contentId attribute in the Create/Update operation or in the AA instance property is just for the internal use in the single AA to corelate ACs with AAD elements. It is so named after SwA usage of content-id, The attribute name may be misleading and Keisuke will change the term. * Review of the proposed draft for the chapter 4. Well accepted except that 4.3 should have the diagram depicting the example. Approved to be merged. Mike will choose an appropriate figure drafting the "3.3.2 OGSA EMS Design Team". * Review of the schedule for draft writing - "Chapter 6. Manageability" Just refer the WSDM MOWS. We may enrich this section in the future adding ACS specific manageability. Action: Tom, to write the chapter by next Wednesday. - "Chapter 7. AAF Spec" Being drafted by Sachiko and KF and will be posted to ML later this week. Action: Keisuke and Sachiko, to send the draft later this week. - "Chapter 9. Samples" and "Chapter 10. Schemas" Will be written after all the discussion is finished. Action: All, to read through the entire draft and send comment by GGF15. * Updates, GGF15 sessions Tom will join the GGF15 sessions over the phone. Pete cannot be present. Keisuke will ask GGF administration for phone line. * Next meeting GGF15 on Oct 5.

Chapter 4. Example Usage

Folks, I wrote up the proposed draft of chapter 4 "Example Usage". This chapter is intended to provide images of how ACS is used from produce/consumer view. Folks, I have merged the draft descriptions that we reviewed in today's call, which includes the section 3.1.6, 3.2, 3.3.3 and Chapter 8. Survey for OGSA-WG F2F meeting back-to-back GGF15

Hi all, and sorry for the cross-posting again. As you already know, OGSA-WG and fellow WGs are planning to have F2F meeting in Boston, back-to-back with GGF15. The meeting will be held on Thursday (9am-6pm) and Friday (8am-3:30pm) at IBM office in Boston (it is 2.2 miles away from GGF15 venue instead of walking distance). Please keep it in mind that this F2F is workshop style technical discussion. If you want to learn OGSA activities in general, "OGSA Status and direction presentation session" on Oct. 3 (Mon) 11am-12:30pm at Berkely/Clarendon room is the one you should join. In order to obtain admission to the F2F venue, please let us know your plan for attendance by answering the following on-line survey. Keisuke posted final revision on Sep. 14. (cb_r5ggf-acs-chap3.doc) We reached a good consensus about reference to external storage. As for ensuring consistency over referenced entities, we agreed that digest value is enough to cover the purpose and full set of XML signature is not required. Action: Keisuke, to modify the section reflecting today's discussion and send it to the ml. * Review of the proposed contents for chapter "8. Security Consideration" We reviewed the latest version of Security Consideration which Pete posted on Sep. 19 with his comments. - Mike sent the copy of this section to OGSA Security people asking for feedback. - It seems good overview explanation about WS-Security, SAML and XACML. - Since ACS handles data dynamically provided by application producers, access control policies for those dynamic data, i.e. Application Contents, should be provided together with AA information. OGSA Security Profile does not address details of policy description language. We agreed that XACML is the first candidate for describing access control policy but other language should be allowed up to implementation of ACS. Action: Mike, to change the sentence "MUST be XACML compliant" to "RECOMMENDED". (Done Sep. 19) * Review of the proposed contents for section "3.1.6 version control" Pete's question is whether "updating AA" means incrementing a existing AA or creating new AA from existing one. The answer is the latter. By updating AA, the new AA instance is created based on the existing one. And the newly created AA instance and base AA have bidirectional references so that ACS users can traverse the AA change histories. The base AA (old version of AA) can be retrieved unless it is explicitly deleted. This is also related to the ARI (chap 5). * Review of section "3.3 Relationhip to other activities". Review of section 3.3 was postponed because the contents had not yet posted.
